sounds like you are doing everything you can, keep up the water changes and the stress zyme things will work out, just talking a while. Because you changed the filter it will take a bit longer now. Good luck.

i have a tank of 30 litres with small tetras in, i have done a water change using stress coat and stress zyme this was monday i tested my water using the api testing kit and my ammonia levels are sky high, they have been like this for about 3 weeks, i have put ammni lock in, changed the filter, they are poorly as you can guess, does any one have any advice, i am doing 12 litres+ water change everyday but still cant get the levels down. I no on the back of the amni lock it say that the test will still show positive, but i can see that the fish are still suffering so it must be high, all other tests ie, nitrite, nitrate etc are ok, any help or advice would be great. Thanks.
Hi, i did take some water to the shop, he tested it and told me i am doing everything right, and keep doing it, yes it is a small tank but i only have 2 bleeding hearts and 2 lemon tetres which are all small, feeding on day 4 and light is only on for 3 hours a day. Changing the filter cartridge which is a reme one , was due and needed changing, but nothing before had changed it was still high.

Take a sample of the water back to the shop where you bought the fish. They will test it for you and give you good advice.
