Trombone polyphonic techniques?

I was at my band clinicians today (Gr 9) and my clinician showed me this type of polyphony on the trombone. It was when he played 2 notes simultaneously. I can kind of do it (Bflat and F) but when i do it, the b flat's tone sounds like a growl and the f is not really clear.

So does anyone know some tips for making it better and can someone also tell me a trombonist who can do that so i can youtube it.

Thanks alot!

It's called multiphonics. You play a low note and hum/sing a note above it. It's not a standard technique, but as with anything else, it takes practice.

Polyphony in music is when two or more voices of equal importance move independently.
