Tritton AXpro headset Help?

ok i was just wondering on the dolby decoder box that comes with the headset have optical out because i usually hook my ps3 up to a reciver and i want know could i hook up the optical cable to the dolby box and use the one it came with back to my reciver so i can hear through both?
