trip itinerary for hiking the appalachian trail 100 mile wilderness in maine?

Im a mainer, so i know about the black flies but due to a scheduling conflict this is the only time i will be able to hike it (end of june to july 4th), ive made an itinerary and i want to compare it to others to see if certain sections are able to be done in the time ive allowed and if i will be missing any good sites, what lean-tos and campsites did you stay at? im giving my group the full 10 days is that necessary? where stopping at whitehouse landing for burgers and beer but i dont plan on staying the night, is a 1 to 1.5 mile an hour pace possible? any suggestions on must see's or the best campsites is much appreciated also gear that was needed and gear that wasnt needed, i have a pretty good idea on all this stuff but i appreciate new ideas too
