Trinny and Susannah. C4

Of course - what I mean is that he is one who I recognised instantly (ditto the female TV exec).

:)

Except T & S who couldn't act their way out of a soggy brown paper bag (but they aren't really trying to.....)

It was all tripe really.

lol woops clothes stuff
forgot what they about as theyre nobodies really
Im a guy so no interest in them...but seeing them go bust woulda been interesting

I passionately detest this pair of old witches, whether they are being serious or doing mock-comedy.

I wish they would disappear in a televisual vortex, never to be seen again.

I can't believe that it wasnt promoted as a comedy documentary .. I'm watching on delay so only seen 5 mins, but within 30 secs i'd realised there was something not right about it.

You'd think C4 would have promoted it more as a fictional documentary ..I'm sure a lot of not so bright people would have tuned in and thought it was real. Bizarre show to comission!

It is. Was a series made for web TV, channel 4 just broadcast the first one for some reason. Totally agree about Trinny, she had this amazing deadpan quality... also a fabulous arse ;)

Despite some posters not seeing the funny side, the press seemed to like it :D

I think there were enough delicious moments to make it an overall winner and a pretty good satire on our wondrous celebrity culture.

- The housekeepers with fabulous sub-titling
- The really coarse agent telling them they'd "sp*nked their fame up the wall"
- The Jockeys
- "This isn't a tour bus dahling"

The following exchange:
- "How many times .......?"
"About six...."
"That's not what.....you're vagina must be sore"
"It wasn't her vagina"

- T&S standing stock still firmly grasping a short rotund woman's breasts at the golf show
- Susannah flashing the magic pants
- any bitter rant that Trinny did
- the ludicrous 'talking heads' bits with Dr Fox, Lulu and David Furnish.

Thanks. I knew about the original webisodes but I just checked out your link and discovered that what was shown on TV was heavily edited and there's much more to see.

Trinny's arse was near the end when they had the huge argument outside.

Another really good example of this genre was People Like Us. This one reminded me of the more recent Star Stories, eexcept here the main charcters weren't played by actors.

I hope that this is being treated as a pilot and that there will be much more to come from this. I loved their shriek of joy at the idea of 'raw failure' being the subject of their tv show. I loved it all, absolutely amazing, but I expect nothing less from the writer, Martin Trennerman, who wrote 15 Stories High (with Sean Lock), and is currently playing the manager in Phoneshop, which is also excellent.

Given the other stuff that he's written though, it doesn't surprise me that some don't find it funny as it's pretty leftfield stuff. He's an incredible writer, but obviously not everyone would like 15 Stories High, just people with that kind of taste (dare I say good ;) )
