Trigun

Trigun is just a really good show. I love the balance of comedy and drama.

I've not finished the manga but do enjoy and in general aggree it's better than the anime.

The ending is abrupt but hardly rushed, the final fight was always going to be brutal and quite fast. Plus the lead up to it covered a lot of ground and I think they paced it almost perfectly.

The Meryl - Vash and Milly - Wolfwood matchups were underplayed. (I think that's how they were in the anime, been too long since I last watched it. Meryl with her mass of pistols and Millie with the stun gun.) I'm kind of glad they didn't push it further though.

The series is one of my many favourites and contains one of the most viciously evil villains I've come across in anime. (Or regular film for that matter.)

i just finish trigun last night an like the ending but wat realy got my was the anime not the manga it was confusing but overall trigun was my favorit win i was a kid an im still watch trigun all 1-26 again. lol

I never really found Trigun to be episodic even though at it's base it was. After the first half of the series it really starts to reveal the story. Which I found to be a rather sad one. Great story...but a sad story.

The ending wasn't abrupt to me. I don't really know how to say it without giving spoilers...but I liked the way it ended.
vash with his brother on his arm and a smile on his face. It was like life had just begun again. I just really liked the way it ended.

I asked this once before somewhere else and was wondering what some of you think.

Why does Vash not help the people fix the technology so they can live better lives? For those who have seen the series or read the manga you all know he has the power to fix those plants.

at first i didnt watch trigun because it was kinda old and i was in the "new anime" phase. but someone told me it was good so i started watching it last week And i couldnt stop watching it just love the plot and Vash cracks me up >.

I loved Trigun it's one of my favorite animes and I also have this acion figure of Meryl I got when I was in this comic book shop looking for manga 10 bucks.

I think it's down to his desire to live amongst people freely. He doesn't want to lead or rule over people. If he were to help people as you suggest I think there's a risk people would become dependent on him. Although life is hard on the planet it's far from impossible and people do live successfully despite the reliance on the plants.

Also whenever people realise just how powerful his is their behaviour changes. Just being feared as the most dangerous man alive made things difficult enough. Imagine what they'd do if everyone recognised him for what he was.

I loved Trigun, I thought it was simply stunning. It corabined humour and full blown action perfectly whilst maintaining a good level of building up the characters profiles. The message that it portrays touched me deep down emotionally, love and peace!
I have to say that Trigun contains one of the most emotionally intense scenes I have ever witnessed in my life! between Legato and Vash near the end of the series, it was so powerful and raw that i could feel my heart being wrenched - amazing!

I have never read the Manga but I strongly suggest that if you have never seen Triugn then go out and buy it! It also contains some great music especially the opening and ending credits.

It's my favorite series, bar none. I really enjoyed the sort of post-apocalyptic futuristic western setting and basically all of the main characters, both on the protagonists and antagonists side we're interesting and felt like real people. Well, some of the gung-ho guns didn't get explained quite as well outside of the manga, but I actually cared about the characters. There's so many shows out there where I just can't be bothered being concerned because of how poorly written the cast is. I also liked how Vash sort of was the archetypal "good guy" and Knives the archetypal "bad guy" with Wolfwood being the more realistic and more "human" middle ground. Striving to be better but often falling prey to poor choices.

Oh lord I haven't seen this show in so long. I need to get around to buying the show on DVD, since I haven't watched it since Adult Swim lost the rights, but alas I am being hit by the recession fairly hard and a lot of anime DVRAB tend to be on the expensive side.

Am I the only one that find this uninteresting.I've watched trigun up to episode 8 and I just couldn't stand it anymore. The art was one thing that also drove me away from watching.I just hate the art style, but I might give it a chance.

I remeraber watching all of Trigun a while ago, but it's been so long since I've seen it that I can only remeraber bits and pieces.

I love the anime. Vash's voice actor is my favorite of all time. (japanese one) I have a ton of the animes he worked on... he even was a bad guy in sailor moon.

I am only book three in the manga... I even have one signed by the creator.

I was sad to watch Nicholas die he was my favorite in the show but all in all it was a great story.. made you laugh... made you cry and left you wanting more.

I just saw the last episode of this series last night. It was not as amazing as people said it was,and I would have expected lot more action from a gunman anime, but overall it was alright.
