Trigun talk......

I started Trigun recently and so far I am enjoying it but not without a few moments of "What the hell!?" geared toward Vash. I have always heard about how BA Vash was and how he rivaled that of Spike when doing and saying cool things, but so far Vash has not shown any of that and he (for the most part) is kind of a complainer and seems to cry a lot. LoL, far cry from what I pictured. Still, he is a likable character and the series has a lot of cool little plot twists and an interesting story so far, my biggest complaint of the series would have to be Milli's character, she is so annoying.Good stuff though.

It's been a long time since I've seen Trigun, and I can't really remeraber which one is Milly or Meryl. I know the dark-haired girl is the one that got on my nerves quite a bit.

As for Vash, while I've never considered him to be a BA, he did have some BA moments. Mainly the episode where Legato (He's a true BA) first came into the series. I do agree though. Vash is a likable character.

I love Vash as well, but from what people have always told me I was expecting someone different, but all in all I have taking a huge liking to The Humanoid Typhoon. Milli is the taller girl with the longer hair, she neeRAB a solid slap or maybe some more alcahol.......lol episode 9.....

I recently finally read the last volume of Trigun Maximum (my collection is now complete! MWA HA HA HA HA HA!!!) so I can rejoin fandom again! 8D

How many episodes in are ya? The first four episodes focus mainly on silly!Vash, but episode five has a greater range of skills.

Meryl got on my nerves a lot in the anime, but I always liked Millie. *shrugs* I think the Pinky and the Brain-esque dynamic the insurance girls have is terribly amusing.

I'm glad that Vash isn't constantly BA.

That makes him a really likable and more complicated character. Plus it makes for some of the most humorous moments.

'Same on most of the factors except the main cast rarely got on my nerves. I can vaguely recall a time when I had mixed feelings on a decision made by Wolfwood but that's about it.

Spoilers for the later episodes.
It was when he shot that orphan boy. I forget a lot of the details, but I think the kid was insane? ...You know, as I type this, maybe Wolfwood didn't shoot him after all. I'm drawing too many blanks. It has been a very long time since I've watched the series. >>;
Oh, and speaking of Vashs' personality---that's what I adore about him. The child at heart, the deadly marksman, the idiot and a believer of justice. In my opinion, he's got a great center of qualitites for a protagonist. Wolfwood too, even!

It was...

Zazie the Beast. He LOOKED like a kid, but he was actually one of Legato's puppets. And Wolfwood did shoot him, but it was a no-win situation. :B

I'm noticing that Vash is getting more and more serious as the series moves along starting at around episode 11 when he gets arrested and then that assassin shows up for him and Vash enRAB up getting the best of him and pins him to the ground with a gun to his head trying to get info. Then a few episodes later he goes off on his own and leaves Milli and Meryle behind, that was an epic scene and he even resorted to yelling at them in a grurabling voice, a little shocking for Vash, this is also the episode where he gets the best of the fast moving gunslinger chick.

Yeah, I love the progression that goes on in this series. For the first four episodes you think it will be this bizarre comedy with gunplay thrown in, but then the serious stuff hits.

Diablo is such a great episode.

Wolfwood has officially become my favorite character in this series, I have just finished this anime recently and over the course of the last 8 episodes or so I can honestly say that he is a B-A character, even more so than Vash in my eyes. The episodes where they went to visit an old friend of Vash and all those innocent people got slaughtered is where Wolfwood became my favorite, also the episode where Wolfwood and Vash had to deul in that tournament, man that was a great one.
