i just went on vacation to emerald isle for 6 days with my fiance, his sister, his mother, and his younger brother and friends of the family. the first night there his sister and i stayed up all night talking (5 hours total) and it seemed to be going great. we shared jewelry and clothes and when his mom said we could each have our own bedroom at the beachhouse she said she'd rather we share a room. well to be nice i told her she could use my cell phone to make a few quick calls but that she'd have to wait otherwise until after 9 when my minutes were free. i was so wrapped up with my fiance i didnt realize how much she was using it (she went 233 minutes over my bill!) and then to make matters worse she took my phone, my expensive W490 phone to the beach, stuck it in her pocket, and WENT SWIMMING!!! her mom is making her pay it because shes underage and i really cant afford to pay it but now his sister is realy angry with me and its causing a fued. what do i do?
When she told me what happened to my phone she was on the verge of tears (she's like 16) and i said, "its okay accidents happen. dont worry about it right this minute just enjoy vacation". i was very kind and ive never been hateful about it but because she doesnt want to spend her money to pay me back shes holding a grudge against me and accused me of lying until i showed them the bill. im only 18 and a half and i make 7 bucks an hour and im serious i cant afford it. i told her mom its ok she could just buy a cheap 50 dollar phone to replace it and that if she just paid the overage charges id pay the rest but her mom insists she works off enough to pay for my original phone and all the minutes she used. which means she has to go mow lawns and give up her allowance. i just dont want a feud i want to be cool with her but now im stuck.
