The Enterprise arrives at the planet Janfu, and Captain Kirk and Spock beam down to investigate. They find a cave with the following formula written on the wall:

15 + 29 = 42

Captain Kirk says, "These Janfuians can't have been very smart. Their math is terrible." Spock replies, "No Captain, their math is correct, and now I know how many fingers Janfuians have." How many fingers do Janfuians have?
