Tributes in animation

Now there have been tributes to somethings in live-action movies, and that also includes animation. Now do you know any animated films or animated series that show a tribute to somethings{classic cartoons, actors, cartoonists, and etc}So do you know any?

I read off of Cartoon brew that the Almost there sequence in the Princess and the frog was a tribute to the Tex Avery cartoon Page Miss Glory, and in the Pixar film monsters inc there's a tribute to Chuck Jones.

I always find it neat when anime makes references to Western cartoons. I can't remember the name of the show, but there was for instance this "Mecha" anime in which the "conscience" part of one robots brain was named something like "gi-mimi"; a reference to Jimminy Cricket, the "official conscience" of Pinocchio in the Disney version of the story.

The Simpsons has had a few notable tributes, like the season 16 episode Mommy Beerest, which was dedicated to Johnny Carson, who died a week prior to the episode's airdate(Johnny had previously guest starred in the season four ep. Krusty Gets Kancelled). And of course we can't forget that Phil Hartman, who contributed so much to the show, had the season ten episode Bart The Mother, the last episode he guest starred in, dedicated to his memory.

Frank Thomas (who died a few months before the film was released) and Ollie Johnston (who hung in there until finally passing away last year). They also appeared in Brad Bird's earlier film The Iron Giant as train conductors ("Go one...tell 'im what you saw, Frank").

In Corpse Bride, the name on the piano that Victor plays is "Harryhausen", a tribute to legendary stop-motion animator Ray Harryhausen. There's also the restaurant called "Harry Hausen's" in Monsters, Inc..

The Feed the Kitty sequence in Monsters Inc., though (despite it being officialy declared a homage) lack of context makes it look more like they're just copying it...
