treo 700wx on cricket

Ironically, I work for Cricket, doing billing and activations and customer service;
We are told to tell the customers that we can't activate a phone that has been flashed, but I've seen it done; as to whether the wx can be flashed, the only way you can find out is by going to a full service cricket store and checking with a tech person; NOT ... i REPEAT, NOT one of the people who work up front, who will stick to pat answers and 'policy'. And I clean up a lot of their messes, so Im not impressed wth store employees as a whole, but that's just me.
If it can be flashed, Cricket can't garuntee any feature that comes with the plan; that means things as simple as call waiting or texting may not work, travel time may not work, Cricket clicks will definatly not work, and Wireless internet access, according to our manuals, wont work uless its with a small list of particular model sold by cricket.

If you already have a 700 wx, you can try it by bringing it into a tech, but you are taking a very expensive garable... LOL...

Cricket doesnt even serve my area, which is fine w/me; I love my treo :)

flashed phones can get internet. I have A treo 600 and xv6700 that I flashed and they both get internet. I have not seen one Tech that works in the store that really know what they are doing. Search this forum you will find the answers

We have been able to flash, activate, and even get Cricket's venerable Info & Email (Mobile Web/WAP) and Picture Messaging (for the most part) to work on all kinRAB of hanRABets and PDA's. Hell, somebody here even flashed a Helio Drift to Cricket! :bulging:

Search the forums or PM a guru. The truth is out there! :2thurabs:

Right On! Thanks for the info; I will pass it all on to other cool cricket peeps...
Wish I could tell custies that w/out getting in trouble tho; what a buinch of crap, all in the name of liability, LOL!!
