i lost my Dash and now i'm looking to get a replacement. i'm torn between getting a T-Mobile Dash or a Treo 650 (not too interested in the 680 since it's very similar to the 650 and more expensive).

which should i get? does Opera Mini work well on the Treo 650 (VERY IMPORTANT TO ME)? how is Palm OS as compared to Windows Mobile?

any other inputs and differences on these 2 phones would be much appreciated.

Palm OS is an older OS, but probably about as bad as WM5. I had three Treo 600s and a 650 and all were junque. Prone to random reboots for no reason, just liek the WM5 devices. If it were me and I went with the Palm. I'd go for the updated device - the 680- over the 650 and hope they made it better.

The DASH is newer technology and you already know how to use it. That might be your best option.

I had a 650 didnt like it a lot, not many features WM offer and was slow, also T mobile should be releasing WM6 for Dash soon..

I was actually thinking of getting the DASH or the MDA...not sure what form I prefer or which keyboard feels better...do you have any comments?

Also....I was really wondering how sensitive or delicate are the touch screens on these devices...will I have a problem if I keep them in my pocket ...is there a way to lock the phone/screen...will it break easily? I have always had clam shell phones so Im not sure how I will like these two models.

thx

put you can also get a treo 650 cheap now.

how old, and how bad is Palm OS. because even though the newer Treos have Windows Mobile, they also still bring out Palm OS versions of the same phone.

what are the pros and cons of Palm OS?
