trees take ages to grow back. Plus we will never replace the amazon...

...rainforest and all the wildlife...........? we will never be able to replace the wildlife that get lost too.
 
They do take time and I get very depressed by the deforestation of the Amazon - but I did see a report earlier this year that showed a large area (several suare miles) that had been burned down for planting crops 25 years ago and then had been left when the company went bust - it showed it now and most of the plants and wildlife had come back ( although the trees were obviously not mature)
 
yes i agree.. now lets all work hand i hand and stop this corporation from ruining mother earth just because they want to fill their big fat wallet with monies
 
Everything is relative. Ages for you is a brief blip from the view of nature. As to never being able to replace the lost wildlife, that is only true for species that go extinct. Otherwise, the species will return to the area when the area becomes as it was before man's intervention, at least in the vast majority of cases.

Just because it will fail for some doesn't mean the effort should be abandoned.
