travel to and from boot camp?

im joining the marines soon i was wondering about the transportation to and from boot camp is it free? and after boot camp is there a time of leave before combat training begins or is it just strait into combat training?

the travel is free( they pay for it) and typically you have some leave time coming after boot camp.

I can tell you your travel will be free but I have not served in the USMC so I don't know about leave between.

Any time you travel on orders, including heading to boot camp, the service will either provide the transportation or pay for it. Most people get a leave after basic training. There are some very rare exceptions -- generally those who take longer than usual to complete boot camp and must hustle to get their seat in the next school.

Boot camp is combat training. Travel to boot camp is provided, travel from boot camp to advanced training is provided and travel from advanced training to your first duty station is provided. Travel to and from leave is not provided.
