Here is the Travel talk PRL...i have this on my phone and i can use it anywhere...but i think you need travel talk activated on the phone for it to work...lets see what we can do with this
if it is market specific what are the different market travel time prls I would like to know. Weren't you the the person that was SO SURE!!!! the cricket wap would not work on flashed phones ......so how do I know you know what you are talking about.......
What cricKet market are you in? I think the PRL's may be the same just the geographic priorities changed around. I looked at that PRL with an editor and the SID for Phoenix where I am at is way down in the list where I would think it should be in the first geographic priority. I should send this to XFF for him to decode and post to get a better idea of how it is laid out.
Thats interesting, where did you get the PRL from? In looking it over again I see what is different now. the PRL will be the same everywhere, only the roaming indicator will change. It is turned off for the SID of your home market and on for all others. That PRL has Santa Fe NM (SID 6415) as the home SID with roam indicator off. Thats why I ask where you got it.
This PRL (version 03232) is very similar to the previous TravelTalk PRL (version 02931). The major difference is in the relative priority of roaming partners. In PRL version 02931, the general carrier preference was as follows:
Cricket
VZW
ALLTEL
USCC
SPCS
In PRL version 03232, the general carrier preference is as follows:
Cricket
VZW
ALLTEL
SPCS
USCC
So essentially, SPCS is now preferred over USCC. Other than that, there are only a few minor changes, typical PRL housekeeping kind of stuff.
One interesting change I noticed is that all occurences of SID 05031 have been replaced with SID 04729. I thought SID 05031 was in use for the San Diego, CA market. Is that not correct? Does anyone know for sure (from first-hand experience) which SID Cricket is using in San Diego?
Edit:
Thank you XFF for taking a look at that PRL.
In looking thru the standard 1039 PRL I don't see any occurance of SID 05031 or a listing of the San Diego market. So if there is someone with service in San Diego could you please let us know what SID and PRL version your phone is using? Thanks
