i have both versions and i would completely recommend the wii version. the most important thing is that you can control all the tools with the nunchuck, while not having to disrupt your wiimote usage. with the DS, you have to stop what you are doing and click on the tools on the side of the screen, which takes up a lot of precious time and screen real estate. as for being precise, the ds is 'quicker' to use because you simply press where you need to on the screen, but i have never had any issues with the wii remote in terms of missing things or screwing up because of the remote. the pointer is incredibly responsive, too. there is no noticible lag to be found, unlike the pointer in zelda where there is a slight delay.
at the end of the day, i would say the wii version IS superior, but it all comes down to if you want to play sitting on your couch in the living room, or if you want to play on the go in a mobile environment
