Transparent background in Corel Painter Essentials 4?

I have tried looking up questions like mine, but I either don't understand or they don't answer what I need so...

When you open up Corel Painter Essentials 4 you are given, automatically, a canvas to work on, I know you can "see" and "hide" the canvas using the little eye next to it on the layers area. But, this doesn't work when you save the file to upload, the darned paper color comes back. I need transparency in my image when I upload it.

I've gone through all the options I can find, is there any way to keep the beginning canvas transparent? If so...how?
