Transmitter/Antenna power compare

My team at work handle all of the cell phone parc. We currently only use one carrier for all our cell phones/pagers. We have a couple of users who complain that they have low receptions on there phones. Being that we canot change carriors, how do I know what phone model has a better antenna/transmitter than an other? That info is never mentionned in the phone specs anywhere. Is there a list that exists that compares antenna power from different phones?
 
bump... Anyone? I basicaly just need to know if there is some way of measuring antena power or comparing 2 cellphones to know which one would get better reception.
 
not really. you can maybe look at the FCC release documents for the phone you are interested in. They show the results of the compliance testing, showing the results of the antenna transmission at each frequency, i.e. 850mhz, 1900mhz, etc.

also each phone has the SAR rating, which is the output of the antenna regarding radiation exposed to your head/brain. some phones have a very high rating, like 1.2, while others are very low, like 0.6. lower is better. but conversely, the higher the SAR, that might mean that that antenna is really doing some serious output power cooking your brain. so maybe that is what you are looking for.
