Transmissions that are replaceable for the GM 4L60E?

Well ive got a 1990 GMC Sierra 2wd automatic transmission which should be the 4L60E, not 100% sure it is, but if you know it let me know...

Anyway, i just want to know if there are any models that are able to be replaced... I think the 770R4 is able to be but i know nothing about transmissions... Please help
 
You should have a 700R4 trans now. They should be readily available. If your current trans is bad, I would get a rebuilt one, not used.
