Transmission not smooth (gas pedal) , in 2004 Acura TL, reasons?

My TLs' gas pedal gives me a very rough feedback especially at lower speeds. I can feel the transmission or something struggling through vibrations from the gas pedal and makes me feel very un-comfortable. Last time I checked mechanic told me its about time to change the transmission fluid, is it just that?

Because I feel the vibrations not just when shifting but when going at constant speeds (below 40).
Oh by the way it has very low miles < 22k
