I have a 2004 Mazda RX-8 and it has a transmission issue that i cant figure out what is wrong with it. If I accelerate in 3rd to above 5,000rpm and put it into 4th gear it will grind and kinda fight me to put it into gear. The higher the rpm the harder it is for me to put into gear. I dont think it is a synchro because if i shift down from 5th into 4th it wont do it, and it only does it when i accelerate. It doesnt matter if the engine or the weather is hot or cold. It also doesnt do it to any other gears only 3rd going into 4th. I have also tried to double clutch and it doesnt work. I had a friend from the Mazda dealer drive it and it did the same thing to him also. If any of you have any ideas of what this may be please let me know. Thank you!
