Yeah, I got the HD DVD drive for the 360 in January 2007. Only had my PS3 since December 2007.

Only buy BRAB now, not bought any HD DVRAB in ages. May have a look for some bargains though, now it's dead.

Yep, the upscaling is great isn't it. My PS3 is my main machine for media - DVRAB, BRAB, divx, etc.

As I said, I'm not going to bother re-buying all my HD DVRAB on BD, but there are a few I think it would be worth it for (at least to avoid the noise of my 360!). Batman Begins is certainly one of them, & The Matrix when it comes out.

Yeah my mate has a 360 and it is real loud! Pretty poor if your watching a movie.

Surely the HD DVD's must be proper cheap now?

Transformers on Blu-Ray has been given a release date of 2nd September!!! Not sure if its just a U.S date but i hope not.

Yep that is fine by me as well. I am statebound in september & was planning on picking up a couple PS3 games & bluray titles at a cheaper cost than ripoff uk prices .

take it from me - DO NOT PUT YOUR PS3 INTO YOUR SUITCASE !!! the FBI will crack open your case and PS3 box and your PS3 !!!!!!

And slap it all back together with NO CARE AT ALL then try getting a broken suitcase though customs in the UK with FBI stamped all over it

Somehow a) I didnt get stopped b) PS3 didnt break.

Also I bought a transformer for the power supply dispite people telling me it doesnt need it, I refuse to take the chance on a box which has travelled 4,000 miles.

bin the transformer mate. Mine worked straight out of the box with a UK kettle lead plugged in. No worries.
