I enjoyed it for what it was...a "different universe", such as the unicron trilogy.

Cullen did perfect, and Good ol' agent smith did a decent megatron...just to me..sounded a bit more like galvatron.

I think Starscream is going to be a mainline in the second movie. The chase scene with barricade and bumblebee rocked ass.
 
The only thing that kinda bugged me was that there were too many advertisements through the whole thing.

"How did you find me...?" "EBAY!"

GM put a lot of money in that movie...

Clear shot of the guy running with the Xbox while the Mt. Dew vending machine was launching cans at everybody...
 
I know that...but he was about as memorable as the junkions There was barely any character to any of them because they were all so fucking goofy all the time.

...and I'm talking stand the test of time memorable, not "oh, hey, yeah...I remember that scene" type of memorable. CHARACTERS like Clarance Boddicker from Robocop, McClane in Die Hard, Indiana Jones, etc.

the Allspark and Energon are completely different objects.

Prime explains the Allspark in the opening monologue. It's what gave life to the Transformers. The Allspark has been used in previous incarnations of Transformers as well, in Beast Wars it was just called the "spark" and it was slightly different. Basically it was a blank robot and the spark had neither a good or evil sentience to it.

Energon is a power supply.

but it could've been the summer blockbuster to end all summer blockbusters if nolan or someone else thats still good with visuals had directed it . i wouldn't have minded waiting another year for the dark knight.
 
yeah I stayed all the way to the end to make sure I didn't miss anything at all because I remembered reading the rumors that Megatron was gonna get an earth form at the end so I thought that he couldn't be dead and we'd see something etc. So I saw both stupid little blurbs with Sam's parents, and then Starscream break the atmosphere and head towards space.
