**TRANSFORMERS MOVIE** The review you've been waiting for! v.all that shit by me

Yeah, Ironhide might as well have been voiced by Larry the Cable Guy like I joked before the movie came out After liking the toy so much it kind of sucked seeing him be so lame.

All in all, they spent zero time developing any of the transformers really, other than Bumblebee and then they crippled him, so you didn't really give a shit about anyone in the big fight at the end.

And the more I think about it, the more I'm bugged about Starscream in the movie. He was more or less a throw away. He was just kind of there and it was never resolved what happened to him....just one scene w/ him getting chased by other F-22s.

Did you stay for the credits and see the jet going through the clouds?

Just saw it yesterday. I personally liked the movie. Only real gripe I have, well, two of them, which were mentioned before, were character development of the transformers, and the appearances of the robots. People seeing this who are not familiar with the original cartoons will not understand why Prime is so God-like because they don't really use him all that much. Bumblebee appears to be the main autobot, amirite?? They need to take the focus away from the stupid love story, and put it on the robots.

As for the appearance.....like stated before, during the fight scenes, you really can't tell two of them apart, other than Prime having a splash of blue on him. If they made them look more like the G1 cartoon characters, it would have been an easy thing to differentiate. They just had too much shit all over them and it muddied up their appearances. I know they will never make them look like a cartoon done in the '80's, but did they really need to make their designs so "busy"??

All in all it was a good movie, especially in the HD theater I went to, the picture was incredible (gotta get me an HD TV, I live in the stone age!). And I will be buying it on DVD, and look forward to sequels. Maybe Speilburg needs to just do the sequels on his own?? Or ask Lucas for an assist??

In terms of me going in intentionally with very low expectations and trying not to hold it to any kind of standard I'd give it 3 stars.

From a more critical and more analytical point of view in the history of cinema I'd give it 2 stars.

i liked it a lot, way better then pirates and spiderman. did they leave it open for a good sequel? i mean can they just start brining bots to earth for movie after movie?

This has been my avatar for some 6 years, and I don't like voltron that much, I just liked this picture for some reason. At this point I only use it because anyone who's talked to me in the past knows its my avatar.

this is EXACTLY what I thought when I first saw it

we can pray that this movie not be canonized into the transformer lore, only way to protect what is the treasured memories of people like me, who grew up with it and loved it during the 1980s

I think the CG was one of the better that i've seen simply because it was appropriate. other than animation and perhaps model work, there is no other way that this could have been achieved. this is a stark contrast to spiderman o fantastic four, where it was raped and abused like most blockbuster films since the late 1990s.

There is nothing I have to add to this, everything else that I noticed has been said.

I will probably watch it again, but I am convinced that I will be bored and sad at the same time

gets old when you're hearing it over and over and over in a 2 and a half hour movie. Granted their transforming took less than 5 seconds, but it got really repetitive, like they'd change back into a car for no good reason at all.
