Transformers got a stading ovation... *SPOILER WARNING*

I guess I was the only one that could tell the difference between them in the fight scenes then. The only thing that got to me was that you couldn't see the detail of each robot while fighting, but they fighting, how would you see that anyway. They were trying to make it as realistic as possible, as if you were on the street watching it. Great movie, I haven't been this geeked about a movie in a long time, and I can't wait to buy it on DVD. Also I would've loved if they showed where the Autbots came from, instead of just falling from space.
 
different makes would have done it for me

a gm here and there, something italian maybe, something japanese

just to make it look like they actually fell randomly and copied what they saw rather than crash into a GM assembly line somewhere

variation (and obvious avoidance of sponsor-whoring) would have been nice
 
I didn't mind the vehicle selection half as much as I minded them framing a scene around getting the GMC logo into the shot so that IT is the focal point or the over the top driving around a curve in slow motion with a sunset in the background....I could have sworn I heard "like a rock" playing in the background...

the action sequences made it seem like you were right there, on the street, with these huge robots fighting... How the fuck are you going to be paying attention to detail?

I am pretty sure they will extrapolate more about the Transformers' past in the next film, which will feature Unicron and the Dinobots
 
the whole transformers bat signal thing was pretty retarded.. especially since it was overcast. they honestly expect us to beleive that weakass light got to all the other autobots?
 
Deconstruct?

- What is an "all spark?", the proper way to handle this element would have been to introduce the matrix.
- Decepticons can call each other over a communications system, but transformers cant? they have to resort to sending up a light beam into space? , it a lame attempt to get the audience to react to seeing the autobots logo in the sky in my opinion
- Why did the all spark only create bad robots?
- Frenzy was ripped into a a bunch of pieces a bunch of times but he still lived, yet jazz gets torn in two and instantly dies. Transformers don't die until you kill their spark.
- Why did OP have a mouth?
- Where was OP's trailer ()

If you want me to really deconstruct the movie I can continue. It was great as pure entertainment, had they not used the transformers franchise I would have thought it was a great movie. Pixar is fucking amazing IMO... but don't tell me I'm being too hard on it, everyone has their own opinions. Lame is lame in my book.

Pretty much everything involving the government could have been easily cut from the movie without much loss. What they really needed was some form of character development on the decepticons, which would have easily been available had they cut the government bs, hacker shit, etc. Sector 7, hackers, all quite expendable.


RE: christophers- when you have something to say besides personal insults I'll be glad to listen, until then be quiet. Making fun of someone else for saying something, when you yourself have nothing to say is only embarrassing.
 
you remind me of myself. When GI Jane came out, i sat quietly in a corner and jerked off, thinking about how women soldiers were misrepresented. I just beat off cursing Ridley Scott and thinkin about how poorly Demi's character was portrayed.
