Transformers got a stading ovation... *SPOILER WARNING*

Is it clear to you that you rated a movie that you had not seen and yet you have not changed this rating?

It's clear as fucking day you gave this an 8/10. In the same post you say your not going to spoil anything. Stop lying about something so small.

One thing that kept bugging me, though, I must say, is how the Transformers are susceptible to being frozen and captured in that manner if they are able to survive deep space freezing temperatures?

No, I didn't. I don't normally edit posts except immediately after for grammatical errors, and I really just don't care. I don't know why you're so convinced I'm lying dude...

no doubt. people take a pop corn movie made after a childrens cartoon way to seriously.

Some of the retarded shit the wanna be movie critic crew says make me lol.

The government thing was necessary if you wanted to factor in human involvement in the plot.

But, yeah, there needed to be more Decepticon character development. I wanted to see more of that Megatron-Starscream exchange.

Everyone has to admit that it was better than they expected, especially since Bay was directing it. Also, the design of the Transformers was, for the most part, good.

appropriate at screenings, film festivals, and perhaps some independent films

not the blockbuster where they are raping our pocketbooks and taking billions to the bank

The first 1/3 of the movie I was impressed. Bay had a few minor wrinkles but they were for the most part forgivable and he exhibited some self control. The next 2/3 he more than made up for his good behavior by relying on everything everyone bashes him for. 1/3 of one of his movies being good is still a bigger percentage than any of his previous films (post Don Simpson).

Before seeing the movie I had eventually somewhat warmed up to the designs. I still wasn't in love with them, but I accepted them. That said they worked horribly for the action scenes. As I and many others complained about, after they became entangled w/ one another you couldn't tell WTF was going on and that's where the robot designs actually hurt the movie, not just upset purists.
