Transformers (1984) > Transformers (2007)

The whole trying to call the Pentagon, needing the credit card, and then Tyrese shouting, "Left cheek, left cheek!" Seriously, wtf?

I did laugh at some of the funny scenes, but it should have been toned down some.

I wish they panned out a little more during the action scenes. You couldn't really get the full scale when it's so close the way it was.

Yeah, I didn't really get it. The action scenes in the city made it feel like I wasn't watching a movie but watching a movie being filmed on a set.

Hehehe... well, I certainly don't think it's nearly as bad as some of his past garbage. This was really a fun ride of a movie.

The fact that the story comes from an old 80s cartoon, I was expecting some cheesy goodness and a story that doesn't get really deep. You can't get an entire series worth of storyline into one or even a trilogy of movies. The story is going to get more shallow and the pacing is going to be faster. I think people just had WAY too high of expectations going into this. Just relax, and remember... it's all about big robots fighting over who wins. There's not a whole lot more to it which is why Bay didn't completely fuck this up.

I came in wanting to really like the movie. I put aside what people were saying about Michael Bay, but that didn't last long as the movie progressed.

more of a comedy than action movie.

entertaining an funning, but NOT an epic movie. fight scenes were okay meh, but the fight scenes weren't heroic. I think that is what the new transformers was missing compared to the older movie.

fail.

enough of the product placement stuff....the original cartoon was based on the toys. all it was there for was to hock toys. this one just hocks cars. i enjoyed it

I enjoyed it, I went in expecting big robots to fuck shit up and they did...don't know why some people hate it so much, guess it's just the uppity transformers nerds or something
