transferring web pages to my TX

I'd like to know if anyone knows of a way to transfer computer-based html files onto a TX. I'd like to view some html pages on my TX, and these pages are currently on my computer (Mac). Does anyone know of a way for me to transfer saved html files onto my TX and then view them?

I tried to install an html page that I had saved on my computer, into my TX using the hotsync, but it wouldn't install the page. I received an error message in the hotsync log telling me that there was no program installed on my TX that could read this file. But my TX has Blazer. I assume, then, that Blazer cannot read normal html pages, and maybe I need some program that will format my html pages into a form that Blazer can read?

Thanks for any help.

It's not that simple. HTML stands for Hyper Text Markup Language. Language being the key here. HTML formats the information on a web site, including text and images into the page you see. The quickest and most painless way to do what you want would be to copy and paste a page into a word doc and save it then send it through Docs to Go to your TX. You would also have to make sue you set Word to save the images with the doc or else you will also have to transfer the images to the TX.

Just pasting the text from an html page into a doc file won't work for what I would like to do. Let me explain.

I'm trying to come up with a way to create a flashcard program that I can use on my Palm to help me study a new language. One of the methods that I thought might work would be for me to create some html pages that would randomly display a set of jpeg files. These jpeg files would actually be individual words in the target language.

Since the target language uses an Arabic-based alphabet, it would be much easier to program the html pages to randomly display a set of jpeg files rather than trying to figure out a way to generate random words in the target language. I just capture a screen shot of a page full of words in the target language from my word processor, and then copy and paste each individual word as a jpeg file. Yes, this is rather labor-intensive, since I need to create a separate jpeg file for each word, but I don't mind that as long as I'll be able to use it on my Palm.

And that's the problem. Since I need the html pages to function as actual html pages, and not just read the text that's on the html page, I need to figure out a way to load these html pages from my computer into my Palm and then have the html pages function as actual html pages on my Palm.

I'm not that knowledgeable when it comes to writing html pages (okay, I'm a rank amateur! :) but I'm learning fast, thanks to online tutorials), but I think I can eventually figure out how to program the html pages to do what I want them to do on my computer. It appears that my biggest question is that I don't know if my Palm has the capability of reading local html pages. Is there a program that can do this?

I think Blazer can. I know WebPro can. WebPro has an Open Card option that lets you navigate to HTML files on a SD card, and I think with Blazer you have to write/type file//(card name)/(folder)/(file name) or some such thing. (Might be file///)

Best way to put the file(s) on the card in the first place is a card reader that plugs into a USB port on your computer.

Thanks for both of your suggestions. Would an iSilo or Plucker ebook convert html pages so that they are still navigable, and not just text pages? I need to have the html pages retain their original code so that I can navigate through them as I would if they were on my computer. Otherwise, they're just text files rather than a type of dynamic flashcard system.

Regarding WebPro, how do I load html pages onto my TX so that WebPro can read them?

For WebPro, put the html file anywhere on the card and use the "Open Card..." menu item to navigate to where the file is. (I don't have WebPro on my Zodiac, but it's identical to WebPro except that a couple of menu items were moved.)
