transferring photos into camera roll?

i have a 4th gen ipod touch, i had to reset my whole ipod,
and i have a backup for the photos that i actually took,
but i want to get them back into the camera roll so people believe me that i actually took them
i don't know how, and i cant find anything to help me
i have a mac os x, plleeaaseeeee help :(
