Transferring music on E62

I am a noob to Nokia and especially the E62. I was reading through the manual and found that you could use the phone as a hard disk. Well I was trying to do so and transfer some pic's and ringtones but it said I could not do so since I did not have a memory card installed.

I'm connecting with the usb cable and using data transfer.

Is there a way around this?

if you put the phone in pc suite mode, it'll show up on your windows explorer as "Nokia Phone Browser". you can then browse the phone's internal memory and put crap in folders and whatnot.

In order to use it like a hard disk in data mode, you have to have a memory card in there. The E62 I believe takes a MicroSD, which are available up to 1GB.

The E62 actually takes a miniSD up to 2GB. Stick with a name brand chip. I had a PQI that didn't work that well in the phone (it kept forgetting what it had saved). I'm now using a SanDisk and it seems to be working ok.

you know what I should have known that. I freakin have one sitting right here but was too lazy to check. COme to think of it, though, i just have the 128 stick that came with my N73 in it.
