transferring files from a mac

I'm relatively new to Macs, and even more of a noob to Palm, so bear with me.

2 questions:

1. Is there a way to transfer files from a mac (running tiger) to a palm TX? I read a lot of books on my pda (1 or 2 a week) and the only way i can get the files (usually html or txt) onto the SD card is to manually transfer the file onto the card via a card reader. When i try doing it with sync it tells me there isn't a program to read the file (even though Palm Fiction will) and doesn't transfer it. Since i have an iBook, i don't have the ability to add things to my palm unless i'm at home with my PC (which has the card reader).

2. How do I set up sync via bluetooth (maybe this warrants a seperate thread)?

I have a TX and an iBook and I use an app called "Card Export II" on the TX. When you launch it, with your usb cable connecting the two, the SD card show up on the iBook desktop as a volume, just like using a card reader. It is just as fast also.

As for HotSync via bluetooth, It works fine except it is quite slow compared to the USB. As far as setting it up goes, all I did was the stuff on the Palm. The iBook required no setitng up. However, I don't recall what all I did on the Palm other than the fact I just followed the directions in the Bluetooth Prefs under the Setup Devices buttonl. Then be sure to select bluetooth underneath the large HotSync icon in the Hotsync application on the Palm.

I have a Palm TX and a 12" PowerBook. When I double click on a file that I want to send to the TX, it brings up a little window which informs me the file will be sent to the Palm the next time I HotSync. It also gives me the option of changing the file's destination - e.g. send file to SD card instead of main memory.
Then again, these files are all PDA-native ones... like install or configuration files. I got Novii Remote and had to install the program itself to the SD card, but the registration key had to go to main memory... strange.
You can get iSync to work with HotSync - you just need to adjust a couple of things. It's pretty easy, albeit redundant. (you open iSync, then when you hit "synchronize" it tells you to push the button on your synch cable... which opens up HotSync)
