I have a 1962 Pontiac grand prix "the love of my life...
I just had the tranny a roto hydramatic or commonly known as a slim Jim rebuilt..
the story
when I picked up my car from the tranny shop it was shifting funny out of second but the shop owner says "thats just the way these trannys shift"... I take the car home and i noticed my e-brake is not hooked up, my center conceal is very loose and cracked on the front, my speedometer is no longer working and now I cant get it to shift out of park??? I have only had the car back for 2 weeks and the tranny shop owner tells me he will come out to my house to see why its not coming out of park but he thinks that sounds alittle funny not sure what he means by this..he says he cant help me with any of my other problems..
my questions is do they have to unconnected my E-brake and speedometer to take out my tranny also did they have to remove my center conceal to adjust the linkage or any other reason??
thanks so much to anyone who helps
