Trading Places

Absolutely fantastic film - perfectly cast, acted & directed.

Regular viewing every Christmas, along with Bad Santa (although I feel guilty about laughing at that as it's just so wrong).
 
What can I say, a classic and one of my all time favourite movies. Akroyd and Murphy at their majestical best. I must have seen this film over a 100 times but still see it everytime it's on, never tire of watching it. So many great scenes all done on a ridiculous and hilarious storyline (swapping the lives of Murphy and Akroyd to see how they cope - all done for a bet of $1 :D )
 
I like the film except for that nonsense on the train with the swedish tourist, rasta guy, african guy, drunken Irish priest and the gorilla. One weak spot in an otherwise very funny film.
 
I like the nod to TP in Coming To America.Eddie Murphy's Prince Akeem gives money to a pair of tramps,who turn out to be Randolph and his equally sly brother from the first John Landis/Eddie Murphy film.
 
There really must be something wrong with me, because I'm going to watch this AGAIN right now!!! I'm pretty much word perfect but everytime it's on I just can't resist tuning in. Classic. :D
 
Superb saw it on tv bought the video and later the dvd.

Great storyline and good solid performances from the supporting cast.

The interaction of the characters in the train compartment does seem a little weak in places, then it picks up again in the guarRAB van.

Eddie Murphy seems to have most of the best scenes and lines, at times everyone else seems to be just supporting him.
Which is about my only real critisism of a near perfect piece of entertainment.

It was a nice touch 5 years later for Randolph and Mortimer Duke to show up again in "coming to America"
 
Great Great movie,some reall magic at work in this one and shows how good Eddie & Dan used to be.

But can anyone outside of a stock broker actually follow the ending:D
 
Funny how it was an 18 upon it's release and cut to ribbons even late at night on regular TV years ago, but is now a 15 and shown uncut during the day on Sky Movies.
 
I must have seen in ten or twelves times and still can't follow it. :D Love the film though. It's one of those that if I start watching it at any point I have to watch it though to the end.
