You can "recycle" them to help battered womens shelters. Granted, all you get is the good feelings of helping someone (which, IMO are unable to sustain a price tag)

I've always donated my old phones, considering there is no like, turn in option. At least it can go to helping someone.

Very true, however if I could trade in my Curve that I bought in June for a new one that has internal GPS I would be very happy!

I wish there was an upgrade system... that since I have the Pearl I can trade it into a dealer and get like a couple hundred bones shaved off the price of the Pearl 2 or the 8800 or something.

Then again I wish they did that with movies too. I always end up buying the low end one and months later they put out the special edition directors cut. That pisses me off, seeing how I collect crap like that!

You can unlock your phone and sell it either here or on ebay. Then apply the proceeds to your new phone. TMO doesnt care what phone you are using your SIM in....

From what I can see unlocked Pearls are going for $200+ right now.

Blackberry.com has a trade up program to get a discount on new devices through them. You have to be a member of the owsers lounge. ( not like it is hard to register) It's not much, but it's something.

That would be great, that way when a phone comes out that you like you could just "trade"it in...but then retailers wouldn't make any money! I have donated phones before, which is great, but "trade ins" would be nice!
