I am done with trying to fix up my car, it seems like problem after problem, right now I have no 3rd and 4th gear in my car I had my mechanic look at it and he said its the tranny so I don't want to pay alot of money to fix up my car then next month its something else. So I am thinking of going to Carmax and trading in my car and getting a newer car from them? Will they test drive my car and notice that it doesn't quite go pass 45 mph then not take my car especially since I am still paying on my car?

Please let me know what info you have

thanks

Of course they will test drive it. Carmax has one of the most thorough inspection processes in the used car business. And it applied to cars they buy as well as the cars they sell.

Carmax will also offer you one of the lowest trade in values in the industry. They are notorious low on their trade values.

Selling or trading in a car with major mechanical issues will result in extremely low sale price or trade offers. You might want to reconsider repairing this car first and then working your trade.
