Traded my Wii for a 360 v. &Idontregretit

What kind of deal did you get?

There's nothing wrong with trading up. Presently I own the N64,PS2 and Wii. I'll be picking up a 360 about June. Meanwhile I'm buying GC games for when I finish Z:TP. I'm playing Okami on the PS2 (wolf game) at the same time as I'm playing Z:TP on the Wii. I figure I have another two weeks before Rogue Galaxy is released for the PS2.

To me, having one console is like having one PC. I have 4 PCs at home and three 21" CRTs. I can't live with just one. I would have bought a DC when they went down to $25 but I couldn't find any games for it. Which is why I'm buying GC games while I still can. Nintendo should re-release Z:OOT for the GC. But then they couldn't charge the present going rate of $40. So they might as well release it for VC and charge $10.

Wii is on my list of things to get in the near future. I won't go out of my way to buy anything, but should I happen to come across one while I'm out and about, it is going in the cart.

if your going to be spending the money to buy a 360 and a wii. why not get a ps3?? then you go the motion sensing controllers and the better games of 360's abilities dont you guys agree>??

I'd say you are making the right decision. The only game I'd want to play on the Wii right now is Zelda. I was interested in Metal Slug but they kind of botched the controls, and it's going to be available on PSP and PS2 anyways, and Zelda is available on the Gamecube sans crazy arm movements. 360 has some pretty decent games out for it, with more coming. Gears of War blows away most games out right now except for Resistance Fall of Man, just my opinion.

I've had my 360 for a month or so now, and only played Gears of War online...got bored. Two days ago I popped in Gears of War and tried out the single player campaign. I've been glued to the screen ever since. BEST shooter campaign EVVAARRR!!!! Now I'm just waiting for Forza.

I traded my Gamecube and PS2 to eBay for cash to buy my 360.

Because I can spread the hurt over more time. I took a $350 hit on the Wii (Wii, Zelda, used GC controller, GC mem card). I also bought a DVD recorder. That put me at ~$650. When I buy the 360 in June I'll probably take a $500 hit (360, a game, vga cable. Yeah, I still haven't bought HDTV. I refuse to buy into cable. Cable=less game playing.) Some of us don't have all the money in the world. (But I have 4 PCs at home. I'm a computer tech. So I choose to play FPS on the PC instead of a console. Since the 360 is mostly FPS and I can usually get PC games cheaper than consoles...)

It really is a matter of economics. I'd definitely have to think thrice before slapping 8 bones on the table for a console. That's more than I pay for rent. The rent comes first. The rest of the bills come second. Food comes third. I ain't eating Ramen Noodles for a year to afford a PS3. I just ain't.

I like having all three to enjoy the best of games each system will present.

I just don't enjoy the empty bank account.

I like my wii, my 4 year old daughterr and I were playing wii bowling earlier.
