Trade my 04 Ford Explorer Eddie Bauer 2WD for 02 civic ex?

A honda dealership will do a straight trade for my ford. Is this a good trade? Private party on the honda is about $7,000 and on the ford about $12,000 both excellent. I have had my ford for sale for almost 6 months and no one will buy a 2WD ford explorer. So im just wondering if this would be a good idea.
 
I wouldn't do it. But it depends on the value of the cars to you as well, not just market values. If you live in a northern climate, the Explorer will be better in the snow and ice, even though it's only 2WD. If gas prices are a big issue in your state, you may want to go with the Civic. Overall, I would not trade the '04 Explorer for the '02 Civic, provided the Explorer is still in good shape.
