So I have a 2007 toyota yaris hatchback s model. I have gotten up to 40 mpg with the car. Over the past three years, the car has gotten between 33 and 40 mpg. I also have friends with the same car and they get even higher mpg and I have heard reports of higher mpg. Lately (past few months) I can barely get 32 mpg and last time I got 28! The car is in perfect shape, good tires and pressure, fuel system checked by toyota, synthetic oil used every 5000, alignment good, no extra weight in car, no modifications, highway miles of about 40 miles daily, no AC use. so what gives...the car runs like when i got it.
