toyota tacoma clutch question?

i just bought a 98 4x4 tacoma. im used to driving a acura integra stick shift so im not sure if the clutch is going bad or just seems that way because its way diffrent. anyway the tacoma is stick shift and i have to let the clutch almost all the way out before it starts to go it doesnt slip at all when i hit the gas the rpms dont jump or anything its just seems like i have to let it out almost all the way to move but its nice shifting because as soon as i push it it grabs nice so is it just it being a truck is why its way diffrent or is the clutch going bad.
 
Sounds like the clutch is worn a bit. You might get some more miles out of it, but I'd be looking into saving to get it replaced. Or you can take it to a Toyota garage and let them have a look see. Let them know about your concern and let them tell you.
