Hi, i have a problem with my 89 supra turbo and i just want the problem confirmed,. today i was driving and now the left front wheel squeaks like hell, only when its moving tho, i jacked the car up later and freely moved the wheel and it sqeaks a shitload also, confirmed wheel bearing??
any other suggestions or is it the bearing??
wouldnt be the brakes im not even pressing them when the wheel is squeaking..

Brake wear reeds squeal. Pull a wheel and examine the pads. I hope that's it. Those bearings are expensive and brakes are cheap. You can change brakes if you're handy with a wrench. The bearing is a sealed unit and a lot more work to get at. It would growl and rumble. If you must, remove the brake and rotate the hub to see if it squeaks by itself. Were you going to be bored this weekend? Not.

Bet you find brake pads very thin. Look in Chiltons then get some brakes. Bleed them too, and put antisqueal compound on the back of the pads so they'll be quiet when you use them. You'll be proud of yourself.

Bearing noise doesnt normally sqeak, its usually a roaring noise while driving and it it will go away depending on which way you turn,Normally you will have wheel play with a bad bearing, you can also jack the car up and spin the tire while holding onto the spring, and you will feel through the spring if it is bad, you will feel a vibration or unsmoothness as you spin the wheel. If its front wheel drive you can do the same thing, but put it in drive and grab the spring just use caution.I would probably agree with the other post its possible it could be the brakes. i would inspect the brake pads, possible stuck slide pins or caliper.

most likely the brakes take the wheel off and look at the pads a wheel bearing generally makes buzzing sound at first louder and softer when you turn shifting the vehicle weight
