TOYOTA RAV4 2006 MISSING ENGINE OIL AFTER 2500 MILES?

I change the oil to my Toyota RAV4 every 5000 miles. The oil level seems to be less and less after +/- 2500 miles. Before the next change I have to add almost a quart again. . I don't see any leaks on garage floor. Does this vehicle "uses " oil? as other brands do?. The anti-freeze is normal. Any ideas?
