toyota pickup rag joint/steering coupler?

I have a 1994 toyota pickup.My rag joint needs replacing.Every time I punch in my trucks info (at an online toyota parts seller), I always get the the rag joint/steering coupler for a 4runner of the same year?

Do some 4 runner parts and toyota pickup parts interchange?

I really do not like the idea of a rag joint to begin with.Does anybody make anything aftermarket to eliminate this rag joint/steering coupler all together.

if you break one can say its wore out if two you got another problem since one should out last truck

The four runner and the pick-up have the same running gear so the part will interchange. I'm not sure about something aftermarket. I had a 94 toyota 4x4 myself, best truck I've ever owned.
