Toyota pickup losing power?

After about five minutes of driving, the stereo in my car turns off, then the lights, no power to the wiper blades, etc. I've replaced the battery and it still does the same thing. What could be causing this and is there anything I should look for?
Also, when I turn the car off, it has to sit for hours until it will start up again.

sounds like you alternater isnt puting out enough
test voltage with car running lights and a/c on full blast

and make sure it has more than 13 volts

also clean grounds or run a new one

also clean batt terminals

Try doing a diagnostic on the system, which you can do yourself, following the examples in the manual.

Look for electrical system codes when you do the diagnostic.

You may have a bad ground somewhere, or a bad electrical part.

Have your alternator tested. Sounds like it isn't charging the battery. A home test is start your pickup, while it is running disconnect one of the battery cables. If the engine stops, your alternator is not charging because it should put out enough power to keep your truck going. Then you will have to replace the alternator (scrap yard, rebuilt, new, or get it rewound)

Change your alternator, if you have changed the battery and it still is doing it the alternator isn't putting out a charge to keep the battery charged. If that don't fix it you have a bad wire some place.
