So. My problem starts on the highway home, my stereo starts to go on and off, my headlights and dashboard start dimming down and then my truck starts losing power. Check engine light was on at the time as well. I get the truck towed home and take my alternator to Autozone to get it tested. It passed. Now I find out that the threading on the alternator was half gone so it was loose off the belt. I fix that up by getting a longer screw since only half of the threading was gone. It is nice and tight now and the check engine light is gone. However, it is still dying on me even after feeding it for a good 10 minutes from a friends truck. We couldn't find any loose wiring. Does anyone know what a solution?
