I am getting my license soon and I have money saved up. I am planning to get a MR-2. It would be a 1990-1995 MR-2. Is it expensive to insure it and will it burn a lot of gas? Also what about quality? Does it need a lot of repairs? I will not be racing or something I still have my head on my shoulders I just need a car that would take me to work and school and I consider Japanese cars only. Please don't tell me anything about other cars because I am only asking about MR-2. Thank You

A fine car, not rare anywhere but the states so parts are very available on foreign websites (foreign to you). Built well, handle like rocket-powered go-karts and a lot of fun, with higher insurance than a less fun car but not outrageous. Not much room for your luggage though:)

more expensive on insurance than normal. not alot of gas. the issue of quality is its a rare car and it would be hard to find 1 in good shape anymore so quality would definitly be a major issue. if you would have to repair it, it would be expensive and confusing because its an older rarer car and it is mid engined. they are cool cars tho. not the best daily driver choice.
