So im about to turn 16 in about 4 months and ill be getting a car soon. I dont get to pick any car because right now my family has 2 extra cars (long story), a 2003 toyota matrix and a 1996 VW Cabrio and i get to choose one of them. Im a guy and im planning on putting some money into my car and modifying it. Which do you think is better to have and modify?

Even though the 2 people above me are right, i still agree with the first guy, since you think of a girl's car when you say VW Cabrio. then, the second guy is right about the modifing, since, there isn't much you can do with the Matrix, and a lot you can do with the Cabrio.

but in the end, I would still take the Matrix, since it's newer, and it's a toyota, so it's reliable.

Personally I would take the Matrix, the Cabrio is more of a chick car IMO, and there is no need to modify it, don't bother wasting your money on useless add-ons

Modify=Volkswagen
The Cabrio is the same car as the Golf and Jetta.
The Golf started the whole modifying cars thing.
There would be thousands of parts for that car.

The only Toyota's ever used for modifying are Supra's and Celica's and MR2's.
You probably will not find any performance parts for a Toyota Matrix.
