political hammering by Government. Why? Government Motors related groups and many pro-Ford/GM groups kept hammering Toyota that it is unsafe car, its disaster, its disgrace, it speeds on its own, etc etc...but Toyota defied all those attacks and came out with $2.2 billion quarterly profit --

So that means all the attacks on Toyota failed? are toyota haters angry now?

logan: first it was poor quality, now it comes to patriotism? so that means the quality argument was fake?
 
Toyota is doing well because Toyota is a powerful name with a long history. People aren't attacking Toyota for the fun of it or purely political, the company had some F'ups and made some poor choices.
