Is the only toyota "plant" in america? so if you want a toyota in japan, it's considered an imported car even though it is Japanese?

technically yes considering it is left hand drive but here how we have toyota/lexus in japan they are all toyota just like honda/acura in japan the lexus is300 is called the toyota altezza and and acura integra here is a honda integra there...and also if you notice chevy geo prizims are toyota carollas kinda wierd i know but its true jsut some different trim options so if you had a lexus or acura in japan it would be the same as having a silvia here which is nissan but here it is the 240sx and also more of an import..

I believe the Japanese invented it and the very first headquarters were there. Now that Toyota has been franchised many times, the assembly plans are all over the place, mostly in America (it's plans not plants LOL=) The parts are made in Japan though. You can check the side of your car door for that or ask a dealer to show you.
