Is anyone who is familiar with the hybrid system in a Toyota specifically with how they handle battery charging/maintaining aware of a maximum capacity? Theoretically, can you add as many cells as you want and easily integrate it with the OEM drive systems? Obviously they would need a separate charging circuit but just wondering if something like 40AH or 80AH of lithium packs added would be a possibility to increase EV only range into about ~50mi to ~70mi.
