I got this car like four months ago it has 108,000 miles. Recently it developed a noise when I accelerate that is getting a little louder all the time. It seems worse in third gear. The noise is not there in idle, first or when I push the gas in neutral or when I let the gas off when going. I went to a couple of mechanics and they said they didn't know but it's probably nothing to worry about. But it is really driving me crazy I'm afraid something is just going to bust and be very expensive soon. Oh yea it doesn't seem to lose power or anything and gas mileage is staying great as always. I've tried higher octanes, nothin. I just don't want a dead car i just got. thanks again
Oh and I can't really hear it at all with the window down.
ok it does seem to rattle faster as the car moves faster but once again totally goes away as i let off the gas...could that be transmission?
but it does no noise when it's in idle you can't hear it at all no matter how much you rev the engine or when it's in first gear
if it is knocking what do i do about it?
